Hello and welcome!

I'm Mrs Bun the Baker® — and I have been getting little hands into the kitchen since 2014.

I started the Mrs Bun the Baker® Cookery School in Oxfordshire because I believed something very simple: every child can cook. Not just follow a recipe — but genuinely cook. With confidence, with joy, and with the kind of pride that only comes from making something yourself.

Over the past decade I've taught more than 10,000 little chefs — from wobbly toddlers cracking their first egg to teenagers mastering their first proper meal. I run weekly toddler cooking classes in Cholsey, Saturday Kitchen for all ages, online classes for families across the UK, holiday workshops, and birthday parties that children talk about for weeks.

I trained as a food teacher at Bristol University and hold a degree in Catering and Food Management from Oxford Brookes. I've spent over 20 years teaching in schools in the UK and abroad — and everything I've learned in those classrooms goes into every single Bun Kitchen class.

In 2023 I was selected as one of just 100 Fentrepreneurs in the UK — a national recognition for women running outstanding small businesses. I'm proud to have been named an award-winning cookery school, featured in The Telegraph, BBC Good Food magazine, BBC South Today, Radio Oxford, and Baking Heaven — and to have been awarded a Muddy Stilettos award for the best children's activity in Oxfordshire.

Away from the kitchen you'll find me with GingerBun — my little gingerbread companion who co-hosts the Mrs Bun the Baker Cooking Show on YouTube every week. GingerBun and I make a new recipe every Saturday that children can follow along with at home — simple ingredients, toddler-friendly, and completely doable on a weekend morning together.

I'm also the author of 3 cookery books for children, my most recent is Make, Bake, Celebrate with Mrs Bun — a recipe book full of wholesome, delicious recipes that little hands can make from start to finish. From Young Buns to Older Buns, there's something for every age and every occasion.

I believe cooking with children doesn't have to be stressful or complicated. With a little preparation and a lot of heart, it becomes one of the most joyful things you do together — and a skill they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
